Our Story

Hello friends, my name is Mary-Evelyn King,

Heritage Baby Co was born from my desire to provide clean, nourishing baby products, rooted in the belief that children are a gift from the Lord (Psalm 127:3) and deserve the purest care from the very beginning.  

In the spring of 2024, my husband and I found out we were expecting our first child in October—a beautiful blessing! As we prepared for our little one's arrival, I searched for truly clean baby skincare products, only to find that options were limited. I settled on a brand with “clean-ish” ingredients, but for diaper cream, I chose a mainstream product compatible with cloth diapers.  

During my third trimester, unexpected complications led to an early delivery. Our beautiful son arrived 9 weeks premature via C-section, and during our 45-day NICU stay, God's love surrounded us—through meals prepared by friends, scripture-filled cards, and prayers sent our way. In that time, Psalm 127:3 was placed on my heart: *"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward."* This verse became a reminder that our son was a precious gift entrusted to us by God.  

Once he graduated from the NICU, I fully embraced my responsibility to care for this incredible life. A few months later, a personal experience changed everything. After struggling with a raw, chapped lip, I reached for the diaper cream I had trusted—but instead of soothing, it burned until I washed it off. If it felt that harsh on my skin, I couldn’t imagine using it on my baby. From that moment on, I only used my homemade Whipped Tallow Butter, a product I had relied on for years.  

With an interest in natural skincare that started in high school, I set out to create baby products that truly nourish—free from synthetic ingredients, harsh fragrances, and dyes. Thus, Heritage Baby Co was born—a company built on faith, tradition, and a deep love for the purity of care every baby deserves.
