Our Story

Hello friends, my name is Mary-Evelyn King,

Heritage Baby Co. was born from my desire to provide truly gentle, nourishing skincare rooted in faith, tradition, and intentional care.

In the spring of 2024, my husband and I found out we were expecting our first child in October—a beautiful blessing. During my third trimester, unexpected complications led to an early delivery, and our son arrived 9 weeks premature via C-section. During our 45-day NICU stay, God’s love surrounded us through meals prepared by friends, scripture-filled cards, and prayers sent our way.

In that season, Psalm 127:3 was placed deeply on my heart:
“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward.”

As we prepared for our son’s arrival, I searched for clean baby skincare products, only to realize how few truly gentle options existed. Many products marketed as “clean” still contained synthetic ingredients, fragrances, dyes, or additives I wasn’t comfortable using on delicate skin.

Everything changed after I had a painful reaction to a “clean-ish” mainstream diaper cream I had trusted. In that moment, I turned to the Whipped Tallow Body Butter I had been making for my own skin for years — simple, gentle, and made with ingredients I trusted.

From then on, I stopped using conventional skincare products entirely on both myself and my baby.

As I began sharing my products with others, I quickly realized how many families were searching for the same thing: truly mild skincare for sensitive skin. In most brands, gentle care feels like an afterthought — a small unscented line tucked off to the side.

At Heritage Baby Co., gentle skincare is our whole mission.

Today, we create small-batch skincare products that are mild enough for little ones, effective enough for adults, and always made with care. Every product is thoughtfully crafted without synthetic fragrances, essential oils, harsh ingredients, or unnecessary fillers — because we believe the purest care should never be compromised.
